Michigan CE Requirements for License Renewal

As a nurse in the land of Michigan, yous are required to earn standing education to renew your active license.

Renewal Requirements

Every two years
- 25 hours of continuing education
- 2 hours in pain and hurting symptom management
- One-time training in identifying victims of human trafficking for initial licensure (beginning January, 2022)

LPN

Every two years
- 25 hours of continuing education
- 2 hours in pain and pain symptom management
- One-fourth dimension training in identifying victims of human trafficking for initial licensure (beginning Jan, 2022)

Advanced Practice

Every two years
- 25 hours of continuing education
- 2 hours in pain and pain symptom management
- 20 hours for nurse midwife initially certified after 1996
- One-fourth dimension training in identifying victims of human trafficking for initial licensure (beginning Jan, 2022)
